This agreement is entered into by Country Shelties here in after known as the "Breeder" and the undersigned as Adoptee "Buyer".
A $400.00 Refundable deposit is required from Buyer to hold specific puppy. Puppy will be placed "on hold pending deposit for 3 days" After 3 days deposit is placed towards purchase price and is non refundable until then will be "Reserved.In the event the buyer changes their decision on purchasing the puppy they must notify Seller/Breeder {within the 3 days} Deposit will be refunded within 1week Deposit can be made in the form of personal check, Pay pal-{add fee of 2.9 % + .30 cent transaction fee for pay pal}, or money order, Cash.
It is understood at the time of sale that this puppy is a good representative of its breed and is suited as a companion animal. If picked up in person this puppy must be examined within 72 hours by a vet, if shipped the puppy will come with an Interstate Health Certificate and will be certified healthy at the time of sale. Any shipped puppy must be examined by the Buyer's vet within 3 days in order for health guarantee to be in effect It is recommended that you contact your vet early enough to schedule your puppy’s appointment accordingly.
The buyer agrees to take ownership seriously and responsibly. Vaccinations and general health care are to be provided by a vet & buyer understands that puppy will need to have vaccinations every 3-4 weeks until the age of 16 weeks (schedules vary by state). Buyer agrees to provide puppy with a Rabies vaccine at the appropriate time if it hasn't had one at the time of sale. Each state has varying regulations about Rabies. After initial vaccines Buyer agrees to provide health care as designated by his/her veterinarian.
We at Country Shelties can not Guarantee a size. Shelties can range fro 13 to 16 high measuring standing on all four legs to there withers at full grown at about 2 years. Some can be over or under sized in a litter and in order to determine a size you must start measuring at 6 weeks of age.See Sheltie Talk Book.
You as a Adoptee/Buyer must take ownership responsibly by training your sheltie. It is recommended a puppy coarse & an obedience course in the first year. At All Times you should have your puppy on a leash, when not in a fenced in area of your home. As a puppy grows he/she will have changes in maturity as a teenager would. There should be a bonding period before training begins. We at Country Shelties are not responsible in training your pup, We raise our puppies the first 8 weeks around our shelties, wean them off the mother on to solid food. Socialize them, handle them, bath them, have toys for play time, kennel train and some potty training depending on the weather outside with either outdoor or paper train. Our puppies are Happy Happy puppies by the Time they go into there 4 Ever homes. It's up to you after that to train your puppy. First year is crucial for training after that its smooth sailing.
The Adoptee/Buyer understands vet visits, food, treats, and bedding can be costly in raising a puppy as a child would be.
Breeder will be available for the lifetime of the puppy for any questions regarding puppy and welcomes/encourages updates and pictures of puppy from Buyer. Country Shelties puppies are Registered with the American Kennel Club- You may receive Registration as one of the following:Akc Registration Limited- Sold as pet and must be spaded or neutered between the age of 6 months to 1 year per vet recommendation.or Full Akc Registration – You may entered in shows, events and may be breed.
This contract does not cover: Non genetic Skin problems, Warts, coccidian, giardia, worms or ANY parasite, the puppy will be tested prior to leaving and be free and clear of these parasites but can come out later after the puppy has settled in his new home. That is why buyer should and agrees to have regular Vet visits. Temperament – Each puppy has there own personality and as a baby needs Love, healthy environment and training. (Since temperament is almost always due to the environment),-Parvo, distemper, or any other contagious disease/infections, or undecided testicles. Size, show quality and being able to be used for breeding are not guaranteed.
In an event If your puppy has a Genetic defect, you as the buyer/adotee must provide 2 separate vet statements that your sheltie has a genetic defect and has been seen by a vet regularly. Been up to date with vaccinations & testing.
Adoptee/Buyer understands that puppies MUST be kept away from other dogs/puppies until they are fully vaccinated and examined by a vet.
Country Shelties gives no cash refunds/ only in specific cases. In the unfortunate event of a genetic defect up to 1 year, a replacement puppy will be given. Buyer agrees to make sure they (nor any family member or room mate) are not allergic to dogs before Sale. They also must make sure that the Landlord agrees that the pet can be housed on rental property.
Shipping If shipped the puppy will come with an Interstate Health Certificate and will be certified healthy at the time of sale and must be 8 to 9 weeks of age to fly. The buyer is responsible to arrive at least 1 to ½ hour early for puppy arrival and responsible to check with there local Airport on flight delays and late arrivals so fourth. The health certificate, crate, feeding and water bowls included. In shipping.Balance due must be paid no later than one week prior to shipping
We do offer pay pal is a form of payment with deposit & full payment. There will be a fee of 2.9 % + .30 cent transaction fee from pay pal ($15.50, fee for a $400 deposit) that will be included in invoice. The invoice will require $400 for deposit then you may make payments up to 1 week of shipping. We will not ship till payment is in full and cleared. Any New owner may pick up there puppy at 8 weeks of age and use pay pal as a form of payment but must be cleared at least 3 days prior to pick up.
We do accept Checks as a deposit and day of pick up we require Cash in full payment or Pay pal as listed above.
A copy of this contract will be returned to Seller with receipt of deposit of $400 To be a binding contract.
