Mary at Country Shelties is the epitome of a great breeder. She has amazing communication with potential families, including frequent updates and photos, and quick responses to questions. Mary's process for adopting one of her puppies is thorough, and she clearly knows this procedure extremely well; it is obvious that she has many years of experience. When we picked up Renly, he had already visited the vet, had his first round of vaccines, eaten puppy food and was almost entirely paper trained. It was evident that he and his siblings were well-cared for from the beginning. He has had no issues socializing with people or other dogs. He's the greatest addition to our family! We highly recommend these amazing dogs from Country Shelties, as they well make great additions to your family too!

These two boys are highly intelligent, they keep you on your toes. They have lots of energy and love to play. They keep us laughing and bring a lot of joy to our family. They are in-tuned with people's emotions, they are really close to being human! They have a big brother Charlie (German Shepherd) who they adore. They have great personalities, each one different. Quinn is 3 years old and likes to run the show. He likes to get his own way and when he doesn't he will talk back. Quinn is a cuddler, loves kisses and likes to be pampered! Finn is 6 months old and has an easy-going personality. He likes to jump, climb, and run, he is a typical puppy. Cuddling is definitely not his priority at the stage, lol. They are very quick and love to swipe socks, slippers and food. Can never stay upset with them, they are just so darn cute and loveable! Quinn and Finn are inseparable. They definitely would be lost without each other. There are many horrible breeders out there! I can honestly say Mary is very trustworthy. She takes great care of maintaining a proper environment for all her new pups.

Woody is a Bi-Blue Sheltie born December 29, 2016 to Misty, a Bi-Blue Sheltie and Sir Winston, a Tri-Colored Sheltie. He has 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye. Woody is a stunning Sheltie with beautiful markings. The large black marking on his right side resembles Jim Morrison!

Violet is from Winston and Miss Shelby's March 2019 litter, and has been such a blessing to my husband and I. Mary is very easygoing and super sweet. She communicated with us all the time, and was accommodating when having us at her home to choose a puppy. You can see her passion and love for the shetland sheepdog breed as soon as you walk into her home and see her six other shelties. She truly isn't a breeder, because her dogs mean so much more to her. She takes time to train her dogs, and the puppies so they transition easier into their forever homes. Violet is a sweet, smart, and energetic little girl who has had a great bill of health since we got her. As many have said, the vet told us that she was perfect at her first visit. I highly recommend Mary to anyone who wants to fall in love with the sheltie breed and adopt a puppy!

Wyatt is a Blue Merle from Miss Shelby's April 2017 litter at 5 months old. He is a beautiful, smart and friendly little guy whom we spoil with lots of love. I can't say enough about Mary, who was very patient with our constant visits as we waited for Wyatt to be old enough to take home.I would and have recommended Mary, telling everyone that she is a wonderful breeder who truly loves all seven of her Shelties and all puppies born into the pack. I like the fact that they all live in her house and not a kennel. I have personally witnessed Mary's loving and caring ways with the puppies and her training of them to ensure a smooth transition from her house to yours. When Wyatt went for his first visit with our vet, our vet was impressed with his appearance and how healthy he was. Meet Maddy. She is a black and white sheltie from Miss Shelby's last litter. Maddy is outgoing, loving, intelligent and 100% healthy. In the Vet's words, "She's perfect" Maddy is not a pet, but a member of our family, along with her brother,, two year old sheltie Duncan. We love her.
I am fifty something years of age, and have had shelties my entire life. I have never, in my childhood or adulthood, met a breeder like Mary. Mary is committed to the health and lifelong well being of her dogs. She is exceptionally educated in the breed. In addition, Mary is extremely active in training, agility and shows. Mary puts forth so much of her personal time and effort, quite simply, for the love of this breed. Mary makes herself available for any and all questions/concerns you may have. She returns all phone calls. In addtion, Mary posts daily videos and pictures of her dogs and the new puppies so we can watch our babies grow and develop. She does her very best to ensure the new owner is informed and prepared prior to bringing home their puppy. I have always felt that Shelties are almost human in their love and devotion. All it takes is time patience and training. Mary is most definitely the Breeder to contact for one of these very special dogs. |

This was our second purchase from Mary Miller (Country Shelties). Both times I have been very pleased with Mary and the puppies (female & male) that I have purchased from her. Just as before, when I had a question or concern about something, she was always prompt in getting back with me via email or phone call. I live in Georgia and she was willing to go the extra mile for me in getting my puppy from Ohio to Georgia. I can’t say enough about not just how great Mary has been during and after the purchase of both of my puppies but how great not only the puppy that we just recently purchased but even the puppy that we purchased from another litter in Mary are. She always made sure she would either post videos or pictures on her Facebook page to keep the buyers updated on their fur babies. Again, I would HIGHLY recommend Mary Miller for the purchase of any Sheltie puppy.

Another update from Scout! She is a joy to have around. She is sleeping through the night, and is such a friendly, curious puppy! The vet's office was surprised at how calm and well mannered she was. She and the cat are starting to become friends, and her gray puppy toy is still her very favorite!
I also wanted to thank you for everything you did for us and for the puppies. You answered every question I had, listened to my ideas and always had the puppies best interests at heart. Your Facebook updates, photos and videos were looked for every day--it was fun to share the puppy milestones and watch the puppies grow from the very beginning! Hello, my name is Sam and we bought Leo from Mary for my mother's 60th birthday. I purchased him at 19 years old with my Aunt and Father giving me the necessary funds to do so. I have never purchased a puppy online before so I didn't know what to expect. If you are looking to purchase from Country Shelties I can share with you my experience: Mary Miller was the most fantastic person I have spoken with online in terms of buying a dog. I did my research and spent many days searching for the right person. She was very on top of updating us on how the dog is doing, his flight, paper work, health, etc. Unfortunately, our puppy's flight had major delays (which was out of our or Mary's control) however she constantly updated us on the flight status and assured us that our puppy would arrive to us healthy. When we got Leo, we took him to our vet the next day and he got a clean bill. He loves to run outside and play all of the time. My mother was so surprised when we were finally able to get him home. If you are looking to purchase a dog from someone, she is the person. She expressed major interests in not just the puppies for sale, but in her own dogs who had given birth to the puppies. It was a great experience for us as a family and we would highly recommend if you are looking to buy a dog that she is the person to buy from. Written 5/23/16 Blue Merle puppy went to New Jersey.
It was two weeks yesterday, Wednesday June 1st , since we picked up our precious Maggie May of Riceland (#8 puppy) and we wanted to send you an updated photo. But mostly we wanted to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness and love that you exposed all of the puppies to for the first 8 weeks of their lives. In our puppy, and I can imagine all 9 of the puppies, that love and kindness has resulted is a litter of puppies from heaven. Our little girl walked into her crate the moment we got home. She slept thru the entire first night (and every night since) without a sound. She’s now only 10 weeks old and she is 95% house trained. We hung a small bell from the door handle of the outside door and she has learned to ring the bell with her paw or her nose to alert us to the fact that she’s ready to go outside and do some business. If anyone ever wants a reference, please do not hesitate to have them get in touch with us. We’d be more than proud to let them know that you’re the greatest.

Mary is one amazing lady her puppy's are the most sweetest ever she kept us updated daily from the start to the finish of all of the sweet baby's growing. Sheltie from Mary Miller of Country Shelties on May 30, 2016. I was very pleased with her from the very beginning. I have never purchased anything as major as this before over the internet and by just “word of mouth” via emails and telephone conversations until I purchased this puppy. After receiving my first email from Mary, which was very prompt, and then our first telephone conversation I felt very comfortable with Mary. We always stayed in contact either through emails or telephone. I live in Georgia and her in Ohio and I never felt as though I didn’t know the progress of my puppy. She was very thorough in keeping everyone informed with pictures and videos on her Facebook page of all the puppies and I really liked that. Me and my husband drove all the way from Georgia to Ohio to pick our puppy up and were given multiple information for our puppy. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Mary Miller to anyone seeking to have a sheltie as a family loved one. Our “Joplin” is doing GREAT! Mary took great care of her.
